September 11, 2001, a day when a major terrorist attack happened in the United States. On that morning, four airplanes were hijacked by members of a terrorist group. They used those planes to carry out deadly attacks.
- Two planes were flown into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City. Both towers collapsed soon after.
- One plane hit the Pentagon, the U.S. military headquarters, near Washington, D.C.
- The fourth plane crashed into a field in Pennsylvania after passengers fought back against the hijackers. It was believed to be heading for another major target.
- Nearly 3,000 people died in the attacks, including passengers, workers in the buildings, firefighters, and police officers.
- September 11 was officially designated Patriot Day by a joint resolution of the U.S. Congress on December 18, 2001. Day of Remembrance: It is observed with memorial events, ceremonies, and moments of silence to reflect on national resilience and the unity that followed the attacks.

Do you like boba tea?! Well you’re in luck. ASB Leadership will begin their T-Pumps boba tea pre-order sale today during lunch, in front of the cafe and the stairs to the lower blacktop. Your 2 choices are Mango Peach Passion (green-tea) or Mango Strawberry (black tea). We will continue to sell during lunch for the next week or until the 140 pre-orders are fulfilled. ALL T-Pump orders will come with boba. Each pre-ordered boba tea will be $7.00. Your orders will be ready for pick-up on Oct 8th (Wed), after school, in Panther Hall. We look forward to serving you!
In case you haven't heard Tomorrow, Friday, September 12th is movie night Featuring the #1 movie of the summer, K-pop Demon Hunters. Doors open at 5:30 pm, with the movie starting at 6:00pm. Come dressed in comfy clothes, PJs, blankets, lawn chairs, and ready to sing along to your favorite song like Golden…Admission is Free but snacks will be sold. Let’s make Friday, K-Pop Demon day, wear your merch.
Club Rush is coming… On Friday September 19th at lunch time you will have a chance to sign up for our afterschool and lunchtime clubs. If you have an interest in a possible club we should start, talk to a teacher or staff member to see if they will be your Advisor.
