Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS)

The Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program is a school-wide strategy that promotes student success by helping all students achieve important social and learning goals. Research shows that when desired behavior and quality teaching come together, students will excel both academically and socially.

Our aim is to instill in students a sense of purpose, a positive attitude, the ability to work together, and appreciation for a safe school environment. These expectations are referred to as PAWS.

The PBIS program establishes several clear rules for behavioral expectations in all areas of school. By following the PBIS framework, our school can reduce the number of negative behavioral consequences that students experience in a school year.

PBIS expectations are posted in all areas of our campus to help remind students of the simple rules they need to follow for appropriate behavior, and teachers and staff will use consistent practices to hold students accountable for their behavior.

Students will also receive positive recognition, acknowledgement, and rewards for their positive behavior.

Parents can check their child's progress in the PBIS program with a mobile app called PBIS Rewards.

Students can also track how close they are to earning rewards online via: https://student.pbisrewards.com/login.php.

Please consult the student planner for more information about our school's behavioral expectations. Thank you for your cooperation and support in this very important matter.
